At its core, the Daisy Nationals focus on promoting the responsible and safe use of airguns while
nurturing the skills and sportsmanship of young shooters. Competitors are 8 to 15 years of age,
welcoming a new generation to engage with the shooting sports.
One distinctive feature of the Daisy Nationals is its commitment to education. Competitors must
have completed the 10-hour Daisy Shooting Curriculum or similar classroom learning before beginning
their shooting training. All Daisy Nationals competitors take a 50-question written test before the
shooting starts at the match, and their test results are factored into their final score.

The Daisy Nationals serve as a platform for young talent to showcase their skills and compete at a
national level. Participants not only test their marksmanship skills but also connect with like-minded
youth who share the passion for the shooting sports. Daisy’s efforts to create an event that will be
remembered for a lifetime adds plenty of fun to the Match – there are plenty of contests, the annual
barter bar and swimming party attest to this.
The Daisy Nationals have become a cornerstone in the world of competitive shooting sports, combining
tradition, education and camaraderie. This annual event continues to shape the future of young shooters,
leaving an indelible mark on the legacy of competitive shooting in the United States.
