Tell Your Daisy Nationals Story in Words or Photographs for Cash Prizes Provided by the Outdoor Journalist Education Foundation of America.
Storytelling is our way of preserving history and passing along entertaining and educational information to others. If you’ve ever thought about being a writer or photographer, here’s a chance to see what professionals in the business of outdoor communications think about your skills. Simply write a story about your Daisy Nationals experience or send a photograph that tells a story: the smiling face of a winner, a group of friends enjoying the festivities after the match, a well-worn BB gun, etc.
Open to all official contestants of the 2025 Daisy Nationals BB Competition. Limit one entry per person per category, per age group. By submitting a story and/or photograph, entrants agree and confirm to give Daisy permission to publish the winning entries online and in various publications within one year of the contest deadline without additional payment or royalties. All entries must be the work of the entrant. Entries must be submitted online by July 19 at https://ojefa.org/daisy-nationals-communications-contest/
Upload one non-manipulated JPG photograph on the online form.
Most of your story should be about your experience of preparing for and competing in the Daisy Nationals, but it should also include a little bit about you and why you like to shoot. It may also include content about traveling to the match, flats tires and picnics along the way, memories made, and lessons learned from the experience, and more.
